Enter the 2012 Chinese New Year Parade
2012 is set to be a momentous year for London with a whole host of events and celebrations across the capital from the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to the London 2012 Olympic Games and, of course, Chinese New Year! The biggest event of the Chinese calendar, we’re giving you a chance to get involved in the spectacular celebrations.
Chinatown is looking to do its bit to make 2012 unforgettable and we need your help. To commemorate this momentous year and to usher in the Year of the Dragon, the Chinese New Year parade will return on 29th January 2012. The London Chinatown Chinese Association is calling on schools, clubs and community groups across London to enter a float in the parade. Why nor submit your ideas for a flame breathing dragon or a majestic giant mythical goddess? Whatever you do make sure they are colourful, vibrant and loud!
