WW1 Chinese Labour Corps commemorated through Theatre
This Sunday 14th February, on Chinese New Year, will be the world premiere of Song Unsung - WW1 Chinese Labour Corps, a theatre performance that remembers the 140,000 men of the Chinese Labour Corps that were recruited by Britain and France to work behind the lines during the First World War.
Bear with me! Panda in Chinatown
People in Chinatown would have got quite a shock this week due to the presence of a giant panda roaming the streets. The bear was spotted stopping off for some dumplings at Dumplings’ Legend on Gerrard Street ahead of the Chinese New Year celebrations that will take place on 14th February.
Have a bite to eat
Head over to Chinatown in the run-up to London's Chinese New Year celebrations and you won't be disappointed. There’s a buzzing atmosphere and more than 100 restaurants to choose from, delicious dumplings to sumptuous Chinese hot pots.
